Bassett Virginia's - Early Hollow Astros African American Little League

Pictured here are the "Early Hollow Astros" in July 1965.
This was a Little League team based out of the Bassett Recreation Center. That facility was built by Bassett Furniture during segregation, and was meant to be used only by African-Americans.
At this point, the Early Hollow Astros were in first place in their league with a 4-0 record.
