Bassett Furniture - company archive states that this photo was taken in 1906, when the milestone of 50 fulltime employees was reached. Companies often took photos like this to celebrate these milestones, as they were indicative of how successful the company was in that moment. As Bassett's prowess increased, employment went up and so did their notoriety.
